Business Benchmark on Farm Animal Welfare (BBFAW) 2017: Since 2012, the BBFAW has been preparing a global ranking for farm animal welfare in the food industry. A total of 110 companies (as of 2017) are benchmarked using a defined catalogue of questions and criteria. ALDI North has steadily improved since 2013 and advanced to third place in the ranking in 2017. We have already been higher than the international industry average since 2016. - Fairtrade Award 2018: For its efforts on behalf of fair trade, ALDI took top honours in the “Trade” category at the Fairtrade Awards in March 2018. The award is presented by TransFair. Key factors included ALDI’s long-term commitment and the fact that it offers fair-trade products to millions of customers at an affordable price.
Germany’s Best Companies for Training and Apprenticeships 2018: DEUTSCHLAND TEST and the business magazine FOCUS-MONEY are the forces behind the study “Deutschlands beste Ausbildungsbetriebe” (Germany’s Best Companies for Training and Apprenticeships). The study’s findings are based on a survey of 20,000 companies with the largest workforces in Germany. Companies that receive a score of at least 70 are named one of “Germany’s Best Companies for Training and Apprenticeships”.
TOP National Employer 2018: In early 2018, ALDI North was among Germany’s best employers for the fifth consecutive time.
Brand Experience + Trust Monitor 2017: The ALDI brand improved three positions year on year in the Brand Trust Index, moving up to eleventh place. With regard to brand experience, ALDI came in fourth. The representative online survey known as the Brand Experience + Trust Monitor examines the connection in Germany between brand trust and brand experience.
- Commercial Effectiveness Awards 2017: ALDI Spain came in second in the “Building a Brand” category. The award is organised by Asociación Española de Anunciantes (AEA) (Spanish Association of Advertisers). It recognises communication efforts that help achieve business goals.
- TOP Career Opportunities 2017: The “Top-Karrierechancen” (Top Career Opportunities) study from DEUTSCHLAND TEST and the business magazine FOCUS-MONEY examined the 10,000 largest companies by headcount based in Germany. The title of “Top Career Opportunities” was awarded using the score earned in the overall ranking, which is based on the information on the questionnaire regarding various career-related aspects and the social listening results. Kundenmonitor Deutschland 2017: For more than 20 years, the Kundenmonitor survey has been examining customer satisfaction in various industries. In 2017, ALDI North Germany took first place in the “Value for Money” category for food retail. We also did well in other categories, for example in terms of people being most likely to recommend ALDI North to others. The study entailed 6,378 interviews with consumers in the “food market” sector. Go to the press release.
- Most Family-Friendly Company 2017: In cooperation with the newspaper Welt am Sonntag and Goethe University Frankfurt, the organisation ServiceValue once again named Germany’s most family-friendly companies in 2017. A total of 424 companies from 61 industries were examined with regard to how attuned they are to the customer group “families with children”. ALDI North Germany received gold in the “Food Discounter” category. Go to the press release.
